While we inspect every piece of clothing to bring you the best of the best, they are all vintage and second (maybe third, fourth or fifth) hand finds so they do have some natural wear, tear, discoloration, and well... lived-in love. This is what makes them true treasure!

We will always make an effort to mention and photograph every sign of age and wear. All items are final sale unless an item’s condition is egregiously misrepresented.

We will list the clothing sizes as they are originally tagged and the measurements of each garment - but it is up to you, the very intelligent and capable consumer and owner of your very own rocking body, to determine if it will fit you. Fair warning, a vintage size "Large" (for example) can be a completely different standard than what we might call a "Large" today.

The moral of the story: know your measurements.

Although you can normally wash materials like cotton, when it comes to vintage or used items, the fabric is likely to be much more delicate than brand new cotton, for example. We recommend that you dry clean most outerwear and anything leather based. Or, do like we do and give it a few dust beatings in the wind after wearing it for a week straight.

Order confirmations are automatically emailed to you immediately after an order submission. Check your spam folder just in case the email went there, and add us to your contacts to ensure delivery. If you still didn't receive one, chances are your email address was misspelled at order submission. If there was a misspelling in your email address, we receive a bounce back email when the order confirmation is sent out. There is no way for us to know what your correct email address is in this case, so we can't fix the error ourselves.

It depends on where you are, but orders typically take about 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email. All other shipping info can be found on our shipping page.

Slow fashion is vintage, hand made, restyled, eco-friendly, and a bunch of other words that are super trendy but also super necessary to keep our world from collapsing into post-apocalypse chaos.

The term was coined in a 2007 article by Kate Fletcher published in The Ecologist, where she compared the eco/sustainable/ethical fashion industry to the slow food movement:

The concept of slow fashion borrows heavily from the Slow Food Movement. Founded by Carlo Petrini in Italy in 1986, Slow Food links pleasure and food with awareness and responsibility. It defends biodiversity in our food supply by opposing the standardisation of taste, defends the need for consumer information and protects cultural identities tied to food. It has spawned a wealth of other slow movements. Slow Cities, for example, design with slow values but within the context of a town or city and a commitment to improve its citizens' quality of life.

By definition, vintage items are pre-owned goods that date back 20 years or later. Vintage is pre-worn/used and occasionally one of a kind.

Vintage Lesson 101: Since the industrial revolution is a real thing, we cannot guarantee that the item you see is the only one that was ever made. You might find it's brother or sister somewhere out there, but we strive to offer pieces you won't find just anywhere.

It goes without saying that most vintage items will not be in perfect condition and will almost always show visible wear. But that's why we love it, right?

Not everything you see here is vintage. If it isn't, it is either a handmade or recycled rare treasure that we found in a tucked away corner of the desert, the Rocky Mountains, or the closet of a collector. Should you ever want additional details about an item that is not written in the description, simply send us an email.

Vintage, recycled, or handmade, we do guarantee that everything you see on Rizzo’s is something Sarah decided is special and completely relished and rare. Rizzo’s will never sell anything that we think "someone will buy;" instead, only the things Sarah can see herself obsessing over a lifetime, rather than a season.

Hold your horses and unwad those bloomers. We’re a small business where I (Sarah) am at the helm nearly 100% of the time, with a little support from the badass babes in my life, and that’s no small task! I operate the site, social media, harness collaborations, hunt down killer vintage for hours upon hours, launder, press, and tailor pieces, while curating pop-ups.

After all of that is done (it's never done), I personally package and ship each order that goes out.

Not to mention, I have a dope husband (Papa Bear, aka Carl) 3 dogs, and 2 cats to take care of… oh and myself, gotta NOT burn the candle at both ends (hence the tattoo I got to remind me of this).
