BEST OF THE VESTS

We can feel spring in the air here in Denver. The weather is turning and it’s time for our outfits to start transitioning. Our favorite and most versatile piece for this time of year is the vest. Whether you want to layer up or layer down, vests are such an effortless way to add dimension to your outfit. We’re especially loving embroidered and patterned ones right now, that little extra oomph that makes heads turn.

This vintage Yannis Travassaros vest is a bit longer with amazing detailing on the hem. Travassaros is a designer from Athens who frequently takes old embroidery, like petticoats, table clothes, and then repurposes it and stitches it into more modern garments like this vest. The pop of orange is such a unique touch on the pocket.

We’re also loving this rainbow vest. The colors are so fun and the stripes are sure to stand out no matter what you pair it with. The gold clasp at the waist helps give some shape to this piece as well.

If you’re in your Harley Davidson rocker era this one is for you. Cheetah is the one print that never goes out of style, and there’s a million ways to style this vest. It has buttons all the way up the front so you can easily wear it open as shown here or all buttoned up. That’s what we love so much about vests, the options are endless.

We’ve written about Bustleworship before, these two pieces from designer and artist Jensina Endresen are absolutely stunning.

We literally can’t get enough of the detail and colors on this embroidered vest. It’s just so rich, deep, and eye catching.

This denim one on the other hand is so fun. The fringe on the front shoulder pads give a real sense of movement and we’re loving the pop arty print moment on the back.

Let us know which ones are your favorites, we can’t wait to see you all rocking out in your best vests.
